Reunion time!

It's time to revisit our reunion plans. This was the previous plan, but as we are closer now, does anyone have other ideas, or changes that should be made?

Mon: Family picture at park in morning
Picnic at park
Unbirthday party and games

Tues: BeachBoardwalk

Wed: BBQ at noon at Crowls
Annoying games

Thurs: Zoo and picnic lunch
Option of attending temple visitor center (10 away from zoo)

Fri: As you can see Friday is blank.

There are additional options that have been mentioned:
Hershey Park
DutchWonderland
Chuck E. Cheese
Philidelphia
DC
New York

We also must have a planning session for future reunions.

Second, we need to talk about foods. Because there are many of us, planning ahead is a must if we don't want to run out of food, and we don't want to do that.
Are there any requests or anything, allergies or hatreds?

Jess and I talked a little about planning a kids activity, like a mini olympics, or sports game or something. Also there is the possiblity of playing basketball at the church gym.
My family is good with cereal for breakfast. We'll need to plan lunches and dinners for each day. I already mentioned that I would love to have Mexican food. BBQ is always good for a big group of peoples like us.

If we want to have single family pictures as well, is that an option? I heard the there was going to be a professional photographer. If Mike and I wanted a family picture do we need to set that up with him beforehand? Also, what are we wearing for this family picture?

As far as food goes, Isaac, Mike and I will eat just about everything. Will doesn't eat much of anything so we should be happy with whatever foods we have. How is that going to work? Is a family going to cook a meal? Are there going to be two families assigned? Meaning, Crowls and Mike Richards family cook one night, Pitchers and Andy Richards family the next, etc.? Because I think it will be crazy if we are all in the kitchen trying to do stuff.

I think casual clothes would be easier than trying to get everyone dressed up unless it happens to be before or after church.

There will be assignments for families to make meals and do cleanup (I think we can all agree on this, right?). We will have the food planned, we can do this on the blog together, and then make sure that everything is purchased for the meal.

It might sound mean, but we don't cater much to our kids anymore. They have to try it or sit at the table until they do. I hope no one takes offense when Braden sits down to dinner and asks why we made bad foods, or refuses to eat something.

We do't cater to our kids either. We don't always make our kids try everthing though either. We encourage them to eat everything but don't usually make them. We do allow sandwhiches sometimes if they try stuff and don't like it.

About the pictures go...casual is fine, I'd prefer that over dressing up but are we doing one family a certain color, or polos, or a certain color for everyone, or just casual. Know what I'm saying?

When we did the Crowl family pictures we had each family do a color. It was fun, and makes it easy to spot who goes with who. But the funny thing is that some of the family got the pics printed in black and white so it didn't matter that we were all color coded.

I have also seen jeans and white t's that are cute pictures...

We do have some allergies in our family, but we can always works around that.
A few years ago when pictures were taken we were all in red shirts and blue jeans. I thought that it looked great. I do like the idea about having each family in one color though.
My two older kids would really like to go to Hershey Park, and Ralph mentioned that going to a baseball game would be fun also. I also thought that maybe Chuck E Cheese would be a fun thing to do Tuesday evening after the boardwalk.

What if we let the kids make decorations for the unbirthday party? And could they play pin the tail on the donkey, or some variation.
How do wewant to plan the food? Another post on the blog? Do you want me to start it?
