This blog has been pretty quiet lately so I thought I'd just post and ask what everyone is doing.
Did everyone but us make it through stomach bugs? Anyone get the flu? How's your weather Mandy? If you read my family blog you know that my family is funny about the weather. We all want to know what everyone's weather is. My sister just got about 14 inches of snow in Ohio. Did the snow move on to Maryland?
What are all the little kids up to? Is Jacob trying to sit? I can't remember how early babies try to do that....How is Sarah? Is she doing anything new? Nick? What is he up to? I always interested in what he is up to because he is so close in age to Ikie.
Is Laura (Andy's Laura) feeling well or does she have morning sickness? Do we know how far along she is yet?
Mike has an exercise at work that he hates. He has to go to work at 11 tonight. He will get home at 7 AM and then for the next two days work 5 to 7. I've been praying for nice weather this week so I can take the boys outside and try and keep the house somewhat quiet so he can sleep. I think we are going to have weather 60, 68, and 70 degrees. Wonderful huh?!! Anyway, Mike really hates this exercise. He always comes home so wiped out and so sore from wearing all his chem junk. The boys and I snuck some tylenol in his lunch bag so he will take it and not have to be so achey. I'm pretty sure he will ignore that we put it in there though. I also hope he takes his little nose breathing strips because he has a hard time breathing and when he has to wear the gas mask it is worse!

Nicholas is having a great time growing up. He is generaly happy, though he gets upset when he tries to do something and we won't let him, like walking down the stairs by himself. He runs and jumps and plays, and has learned a few words very well, and practices lots of others. He says "no" really well. He says "mama" or just "ma" alot to refer to Laura and a bunch of other things. He says "awa" for water, or agua. He says "papa" or "baba" when we tell him to, and we're refering to me. He says "baw" for ball, and every time he sees a ball or anything spherical he says "baw....baw" He saw a picture of Laura's pregnant belly when he was inside, and pointed and said "baw, baw" If he sees a cat or a picture of a cat he says "mamamamama" which meens mew. For lions and tigers he makes a roaring sound. For horses he clicks his tung(I just spent about three minuts trying to decide how to spell that and couldn't figure it out). For cows and sheep he says maaaaaa. Sometimes he confuses cows for horses. He can do a front role and usually understands when we tell him to take something some were and such, though he ignores us when he wants to. We feel very blessed to have him with us.
Laura, on the other hand, is not doing well at all. She's been to the emergency room twice so far. Once because of a fever that we didn't think was emergency cailber, but the rn told us to, and once because she couldn't keep anything down all day and needed an IV to stay hydrated. She's generaly nautious and has headaches that sometimes get really bad. Her muscles ache and she just feels over all rotten. Nick and I try to help, but there's not much we can do. She's either had or has a viral infection a bacterial infection and is expecting. I hope that she still has the virus/bacteria. If she does, than that might mean that when the antibiotics kick in or when her immune system fights off what ever she's got, she'll feel better. If she's already fought it off, and all the symptoms are from little baby, than we'll have to hope that it only lasts this first trimester. Also, tonight I'm going to buy some vitamin B6 and hope that that helps her. Still, she feels better than she did last pregnancy. Her first apt. with OB will be on the 26th, so I guess we'll get a time then.
We are doing fine out here. Sorry to hear about Mike's yucky schedule and Laura's yucky sicknesses. I hope they both pass quickly.
Our weather has been great the past few days. Yesterday we broke a record and reached 64 degrees!! We walked to pick Mikayla up from school and played at her park for about an hour. The kids slept great after playing outside for the afternoon.
Jacob is doing some sitting up, some eating of food, and some fun sounds and smiles. We thought he really wanted to eat solid foods, but found that he really just wanted to sit at the table with the rest of us.
Tyson has a hernia and will most likely need surgery to fix it.
Braden is going to a play school at the high school here. He loves it! It will end next week, and although I love it too, I look forward to not driving across town every day to get him there.
Mikayla is doing great in school. She is a smart girl. She loves to have "play dates" with her school friends.
We are looking at houses to buy. It's so fun, but really scary. I guess if you all did it, then we can do it too!
