Valentine's day

What is everyone doing for Valentine's? We don't really have any plans until Friday. Then we are going out to eat and then maybe walk around the mall. I know, very exciting. I might see if we can go to the Botanical Gardens instead. I went to Longwood gardens in Philly once and loved it. Ever since then I have wanted to visit all the gardens I can. The Botanical Gardens in OKC aren't nearly as cool or as big as the one in Philly but I am still excited to go. I also think we will have our traditional pink heart-shaped pancakes for breakfast. Mike is also taking half of Wed. and all of Thursday off so when he gets home we are making cookies to take to Will's friends for Valentine's. What is everyone else planning?

We don't have any plans except Cub Scouts. That'll keep us busy. The young men's presidency cancelled their weekly activities, but the young women's did not. I guess that will keep the youth from dating. It's kind of funny, I think.

We are just having a yummy dinner of ribs and rice and then a yummy dessert. I am considering making heart cookies, but haven't really decided yet. I never have found a perfect sugar cookie recipe. Anyone have one? We will put the kids to bed and enjoy an evening alone... watching LOST! Of course Mike will probably go play basketball... it is Wednesday night after all. I hope some of you are more romantic than we are!

We went out Saturday for our date. Jason's parents kept the kids over night and then brought them to church Sunday morning. Jason and I went to dinner and then walked through the mall. It was so much fun!
Tomorrow we are going to have steak for dinner, and maybe crab cakes!

Thanks for the recipe. We made them this morning and they are very tasty!
Mikayla came home from school with a bag full of valentines and candy from her classmates. She had a wonderful day! Braden also exchanged cards and candies with his little preschool group. Our ribs are starting to smell sooo good. Wish you all were here to share! Happy Valentine's Day! We love you all!

We also made the cookies. We have been looking for a good sugar cookie recipe too so we were excited to make these. Will decorated them himself--which made for some interesting looking cookies.
