Our TG was great! We spent the holiday with Mike's brother and his family. We had turkey and duck! We also had all the other yummy things we usually eat, then five pies. Everything was good! Then we, the grownups and 13 year old nephew, played a game called Ticket to Ride. It's a great game I would recommend to everyone. Then on Friday we went over for leftover dinner and another round of the game. Mikayla stayed for a sleepover last night. What a difference the absence of one kid makes! Today we will go over to watch the BYU/Utah football game. That will be the end of our TG weekend. Oh, I did make it to Walmart yesterday morning before Mike went to work, and today my SIL and I will go to Target during the football game. The holiday is complete!!

Our Thanksgiving was nice too. The weather was unexpectedly warm so we all played outside. I read a book and sat on the big swing while Jason and the kids all played on the trampoline. That almost never happens so it was especially nice.
We went to Mom and Dad's for dinner. As usual they had TONS of food. There was another family there from their ward who had a 5 year old boy, so that was fun for the kids.
We didn't get to stay too long, we actually took our pie on the road with us because I had to get home to lay down before work.
At work they gave us free turkey dinner and pie! That was nice!

Ours was nice too. We went for a walk in the FREEZING cold and then we came home and cooked our meal and ate and relaxed. Later, I took a nap (as did the boys) and Mike got down the Christmas tree so I wouldn't have to get in the attic while he was gone. We put up some tree decorations and then went to our friend's house and played a card game while the boys played. It was a good day.

I can't necesarily vouch for Ralph and his family, but I enjoyed spending TG with them. We all went to Laura's Dad's place and had a nice dinner, though I missed some of my favorite foods (yummy potatoes, sweet potatoe sueflet[that's probably not the right spelling), green bean casserol) but it was still good food. It was very fun to spend the day with family. On Friday, I also got to go watch Ralph shop, which was also a treat. All in all, a good holiday all things considered.

I missed the sweet potato souffle, too. We don't do that here, as I am the only one who will eat it. I think my kids did not get the Richards eating gene, they are so picky!

We had a great thanksgiving as well. It was nice to have Andy with us. I think we all got plenty of food, but someone dropped the ball when it came to dessert. One pie, 11 people. It was probably my fault. Next time there will be plenty of pie! Laura's aunt made a yam soup. It was different, but very good.
